Who Am I?

Hi! My name is Sophy and I am a Software Engineer. I was the only afro-latina to graduate from the University of California Irvine in 2019 with a degree in computer science and engineering. With that being said I am no stranger to the adversities present in STEM. It can be intimidating to break into an industry where there has not been a space carved out for you. Closing the gender and race gap in tech is why I started @codebysophy to begin with and I am on a mission to make tech accessible to any and everyone interested. Here I will post blogs, videos, and resources that will help you explore or fully transition into tech!
